So I want and own a Monohull, but its not fast anymore.
So along came the Catamaran, and went very fast, but a bit in trouble with falling over either sideways or indeed forwards.
The we had the Trimaran, which is so fast that it needs to be tracked by satellites just to keep up. Worls record holding too.
My logical thought extension led me to skip the Quadramaran (too obvious), so, my Forum friends, I give you the concept of the Quintramaran, which will look like half a marina sailing in synchronicity up the Solent. How fast must that be , eh? Ha, I have made my fortune on this one. If I can talk Joe V into a commission and ditch the tawdry Mirabella V, we can knock out something that will turn out to be the Marine Concorde of the Blue Riband route. Just on straight maths (bit dodgy here), but if Peyron is hitting 38 knots in a Trimaran, then my Quintramaran will easily top 70 knots. Also it needs a bit of length it seems, cos I had a mate whose boat was only as wide as mine, but longer, and he beat me hollow. I propose 500+ feet, as superyachting is all about hyperbole these days. All this without those keel thingys, as they give no end of trouble to their owners, canting or lifting.
I have patented this wheeze in the past ten minutes, so no plagiarism.
