Have asked for a a price for new rails from a local firm. They came to have a look but, having waited around for the customary 4 weeks to get a quote, I have decided that even if they come back to me and offer it for free I won't be using them. Why is it always the same routine?

Can anyone make a recommendation for the Thames area Henley/Maidenhead etc please?

Many thank in anticipation.

I expect they have concluded that your business it not worth having.

Most engineering companies really do not want people with odd jobs turning up as they are a time and money wasting distraction

This guy is good. Far enough away not to charge the Thames premium and specialising in oddball fabrications but easy to get to from Marlow, Henley.
Made the frame for my hydraulic passerelle.

Thanks Jon.

I've been in touch with Brian at Thomas Fabrications and he has been very helpful.

He said he thought he'd taught you some basic welding!!

If that is the case why do they accept the job. I have had various small welding or engineering jobs done locally, I dropped one off this morning, they were nice guys and seem to be happy to fit my job in around other bigger jobs.
