I have had the lift keel, lift bars acid dipped and cleaned. what would people suggest to coat them with to protect it from salt water before i reattach to the lift keel? I thought just antifoul? but once installed itll be hard to paint them in the future, unless i have the boat suspended again. I beleive they are 316 steel.

Thank you

There should be no reason to coat them. Think how many 316 prop shafts there are, all uncoated.
What would be worthwhile is to isolate them from the keel with plastic bushes and washers. Otherwise the galvanic couple will cause the keel to corrode more quickly around the fastening.

vyv is right. stainless requires oxygen in the water to avoid corroding. put a coating on it and in any areas where it fails and stagnant air free water gets in, stainless will corrode just like mild steel.

leave them free of coating.
