I have just replaced a Navman 3100 depth with a ST60 using the same transducer. The lead from the transducer had a phono connector to the instrument so I have connected the centre to the blue terminal on the ST60 and the screen to the black and the screen terminals on the St60, but the instrument does not display depth, just 3 dashes. Anyone know if I have connected it correctly?

Cheers,

Martin

[/ QUOTE ]Well, the short answer is probably not. Do you know whether the Navman transducer works? Why did you change from the 3100? If you think it works, just try various combinations of connection - you only have 2 wires and 3 terminals, so it won't take long. Both Navman and Raymarine use 200kHz transducer frequencies, so they should be compatible.

Three dashes on a Raymarine unit means 'no telemetry', in other words assuming the unit/transducer are both in working order there is a faulty connection.

The transducer did work, I am changing from Navman because the Navman depth and GPS repeater both filled up with water, my fault for using the boat in the wet!

It's probably an Airmar P19 or similar, used by both Raymarine and Navman. Check this site and down load the cross reference spreads sheet.

I’ve found Airmar very helpful in the past when sorting out transducers problems .... try phoning them
