Without geting in to to much detail the reason it was leaving was that it was sold I wont go into any more detail but it went to southampton for refitting by its new owner.

~Yes Matt beaucette is a quiet place until you get talking to the locals in the summer there are some really good boat parties down there, BBQs and lots of beer moving.

We never had any trouble taking our Flemimg into QE2, there were always a lot of "oversize" visitors in there.

Excellent. I'd always though QE2 was exclusively for locals, but clearly not.

Re: Beaucette

Agree with depsol. Beaucette is a nice antidote to the over crowded St Peter Port. The restaurant is not bad and its quite sociable some summer evenings. Good area also for letting kids do beach type sandy/splashy/drowning things. If you need a townie fix you can always rent a car for about 3 quid a day and drive into St Peter Port or, dare I say, rent a pushbike

I can help you with Hire Car Rentals usually for less than £30 a day all inc and also Electric Bikes or normal push bikes too.

Re: Beaucette

Ify ou are prepared to wait a coupleof days in the outer harbour. The harbour staff will try to get you into QE2. I have been over there in boats of upto 75 ft and only once been forced to anchor in Havelot Bay.
St Sampsons isnt all bad there is some nice restruants there and for the fit and willing only 25 minutes walk to St peters Port or a 10 minute bus ride.
