St Kats to Gillingham

Will post this on the mobo forum as well...but

Does anyone know what the rough time and distance is from St Kats to Gillingham is and any tips/ watch out fors?

Distance 50 miles
Time; 2hrs 20 mins (cruising at 17 knots from Barrier to part way up Medway (speed limit).

Ch 74(Medway traffic) worth listen after Southend.

St Kats to Gillingham.....you can probably give it a bit of welly most of the way once below the barrier.You are fast enuff(SeaRay ?) not to worry to much about shipping apart from wash inc tugs.
Mind the Woolwich Ferry and do not forget to call barrier control for permission to transit.(Have you checked Notices for closures)?
Only real advice is keep an eye out for East or North East winds of any strength esp if against falling tide,blimming uncomfortable in Sea Reach.
Keep an eye on the depth gauge when going across Swatchway and Grain if and around lowater and for junk in the water if at speed.Chance to open the throttles but bit boring after QE2 Bridge.
Ps.you might see the dolphins just below Gravesend.
