Several boats are are out of the water getting ready for the season, already.
Helped get a Turbo 36 into the slings and ashore , needs two new cutlass bearings, passed a Sealine SC 35 just launched from the same yard on its way back after O/D being fettled.
Several boats already booked onto our drying blocks for anodes and A/F.
Corniche 31 waiting for its engine to be put back together.
A Birchwood 33 just been sold, owner bought a TS 33 to replace it .
New arrivals. Azimut 39 on its away.

Boats up for sale... but no buyers due to asking prices ?
Definately up for sale a beautiful Princess 45 from long term owner looking to down size.
OG, Put 500L in the tank yesterday. :)

First planned cruise over Easter. St Kats
Pleaded to get another boat or two booked in, no chance, three lock ins on the Friday, full up , unable to accept any more.
So much for there too expensive and nobody has got any money.
Contacted Limehouse just in case, they could not bother to even reply.
Other boats off to Burnham on Crouch and a few going up above the lock to Allington.
Fingers crossed regards weather.

Limehouse were very responsive with me at the end of last year when I was checking for local options, but they had no interest in visiting leisure boats, wouldn't have any visitor berths available, and could only offer the use of the wall outside the Cruising Association which may or may not be available/free when you get there... So we went to St. Kats instead on winter rates :-).

Considering Cart are up Poo Creek with their HMG "please go away " dowery about to run out and the prospect of having to generate income any way they can from the cruel world outside, would thought a few hundred quid from each and every visiting boat might have come in handy
Our little group of three boats looking to visit the Smoke over Easter will be paying just over £1000K in St Kats for those three days.

"The current Government funding agreement for the Canal & River Trust ends in 2027.
The current annual grant of £52.6 million a year represents about a quarter of the Trust’s income. As the grant is fixed and does not increase with inflation, it is already causing financial problems for the Trust
Yesterday the Government announced the funding for the next ten year period commencing in 2027. They accept that the Canal & River Trust has provided value for money but state that the Trust should not need Government support and should seek other forms of funding. They have, therefore, said that the grant will be reduced to £50 million in 2027 and be cut by 5% each year after that. At the end of the period in 2037 the annual grant will have reduced to £31.5 million.
The Trust believes that the substantial reduction in support will mean that maintenance will have to be cut back and there are likely to be canal closures. The Northern canals and navigations with their low number of boats and high maintenance costs are most at risk. As it stands we are facing an existential threat to the Calder & Hebble Navigation..."

Good luck with asking Racheal for a bigger hand out to subsidise the tin slug lifestyle . ? :)

I guess there's a slight difference though where Aquavista operate the "marina" and only appear to want long term/liveaboard barge berths to give fixed income, whilst CRT own the site? I was surprised they couldn't squeeze in a single 30' motor boat for a visit!

Going to assume that since we last organised a previous MoBo visit to Limehouse , both ownership and priorities changed ?
Previously, rung up a booked 6 boats in for the duration ....end of.
Enough boats and even West India will take your cash.

Boatyard at our marina was empty until last week. Now 8 on the hard, and mine will be joining them tomorrow. Anti fouling, polish, anodes, new anchor chain, replace a DST transducer, and s few other jobs.

£1000K = £1mio.

You’re bailing out CART (or maybe St Kats) singlehanded.

And we've volunteered to herd them from the harbour to the Marina, must be mad.....
Have you spoken to the weather Gods yet ....
Westerly F1 moderating round the N. Foreland is acceptable !

Just had a club email, limiting club members to 300L each from our fuel tank. £1.00 a litre at the mo.
Expected to go up a bit in the near future.
