Why not say bugger it to Marina's in London and try one of the clubs. Greenwich is near as damn it close to central London and has good moorings with an even better bar. They have an all tide pontoon and are very friendly. If you want to go to Central London, the London Jubilee line and Mainline rails stations are close by as is Historic Greenwich...... (by the way I am not a member there)....... But sail on the the Thames.

Hi all,
just to let you know, St Kats have contacted us, and it appears they have had a cancellation and we are now in!

Thank-you Richard!

We managed to get in there last summer by knowing someone who knew someone, & while there tried to book a berth for the winter. We were promised a call back when they had availability, which never happened despite repeated reminders, & knowing that others from this forum were popping in & out. I even had a look in December when up there, I could have got several boats in on that day. Its almost as if they want to show you they are boss. I have news for them. Tried again this year to get an answer on a 60ft berth, same nonsense, so will be spending the odd 500k previously earmarked for a bigger boat on leisure activities not involving boats. In fairness, however, its not just them, I find dificulties getting most in the marine industry to do what I ask when I want it done. Been waiting two years for penguin to come look at the air con, for example. The marine industry has a lot to learn IMHO !
