Mmm he's not very English though. . . A Greek born in the middle east and fought for the Romans. Very celebrated here in Greece though.

St. George was born in Peckham, a Londoner. I grew up next door to his great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great granddaughter;-) and she was a bit of a dragon

The English flag was borrowed from (IIRC) Genoa, and the name 'England' relates to the Angles, who were invaders from elsewhere. We're obviously a caring, sharing nation!
