A very happy St. Georges Day to one and all
A very happy St. Georges Day to one and all
St George gets beatified for slaying one of the rarest animals ever. Yet the RSPCA are quick to prosecute when they hear of me slaying common frogs.
As usual, it's one law for Knights, and another for the rest of us.
Mmm he's not very English though. . . A Greek born in the middle east and fought for the Romans. Very celebrated here in Greece though.
It depends who's version of the events you choose to believe:-

I guess it just wasn't St George's day!
He was only "George" (or Γεώργιος) then, surely?
Mmm not very Greek either being born in Roman Palestine with a father from Cappadocia and a mother from Roman Palestine.
