SSB Ground Plates

Umm....just hauled boat out for the first time and found two rectangular ground plates on the hull (aft) and another (130mmish) circular plate further forward (kind of under the chart tableish) out of the same material.

1) is this another ground plate do you think? It's definitely not zinc.

2) is it normal for them to be just screwed to the hull, rather than bolted on?

3) any m'ce required e.g. cleaning, brushing etc (I realise they shouldn't be anti-fouled)

Sounds to be a bit on the small side also one big one would be better than 3 little ones.

Are there any wires or connectors on the inside of your hull - and if so where do the go?

I can imagine them being screwed to a wooden boat but no GRP dunno what your boat is so can't really add much on that.

As for mtce just clean the gunge off - nothing too rough.
