I would like to add a stainless plate to the bow to protect the grp when the anchor is stowed. But I don't know the thickness I need or how to mould it to shape.
From my schooldays I remember the technique of hammering slowly across the sheet to form a shape but I imagine that as sheet will be too tough to hand hold in place. I also imagine that the grp would object to being hit repeatedly.
Would a thickness that I can bend by hand be too thin for protection?
Thanks
