hey guys, this is just a general question to anyone who may not have seen post on a thread of mine re ID of my boat. It seems it is a "sprite" built by Pearson Bros of
Arundel. And that she first appeared in early 1976. THis info was found in an old copy of PBO...if anyone has this article/add or has any other info or pics on the boat I would be very grateful as Im struggling to find anything on the net.....cheers!!

I remember looking at one of these at the Earls Court boatshow in 1977. They were built by Pearson Brothers at Ford, nr Littlehampton. I have the article in front of me from PBO May 1976. It does not say much - just that the mock-clinker moulded grp Sprite has a 450lb centreboard working through a slot in the keel to obviate a centreboard case in the cabin. Total ballast is given as 600lbs (30%) with an 8 foot beam on this 20 footer to aid stability. The Sprite was said to set 170 sq ft of sail and prices then started at £2,495. An advertisement in 1977 says "Enjoy that big boat feel and big boat accommodation. The ideal 4-berth trailerable cruiser with swing keel..."

Hi there. I have a Spirite 22. Based in Shepperton, middlesex, England. Do you still have yours? ? Happy to share, and receive more photos if I get a reply. :)

Cheers, Kerry.

Dear kernowboatman,

I also own a sprite 22 (built 1977), which I bought from first hand a few days ago. I knew another one located in Berlin, Germany. You can find pictures of it here:

Myself, I am in Brandenburg, Germany.
Hi there. Do you still have your Sprite? Would be amazing to share photos if you're still on here. Cheers. Kerry.
Sounds like you guys should start a Sprite Owners Club!

Indeed! Hoping to hear from the others. ?
