Owen Sails just north of Oban we are very pleased with ours. One test, if it fits etc is to look at the stitching closely, is it even, parallel , not too tight or slack.
We needed new dodgers some years ago, and were given a quote of over £100 from a sailmaker. Found a local firm that did lorry covers and advertising banners, and were apologetically told they would be £20.
The guy did throw in some vinyl to make the letters though...... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Would have agreed about C&J a few years back but they've become very expensive IMO. Last quote I had from them prompted me to go and buy the sewing machine/materials and DIY
Bit like asking David Hockney to paint the topsides - good job but perhaps out of my league
Re: C&J they seem to take ages to complete the job. I remember at the SIBS they were quoting me 4-5 months for a sprayhood for my Gibsea 84 and that was if I ordered there and then.
I went back to C&J as I'd had one off them before for a Lesiure 23. That took around 3 1/2 months BUT it was a damned fine hood and worth the money/wait.
