Spray hood worn

Occasionally....just occassionally I've forgotten to tighten up the topping lift before I've dropped the main. Consequently when SWMBO goes forward to flake it, she leans on the boom and it's rubbed on the back edge of the spray hood a bit.

Anyone know if you can buy a "tape" of sprayhood material with a sticky back to effect a small repair and provide a bit of reinforcement - should I ever forget in the future!

Sail repair tape usually provides a short term solution. I have found it best to have patches sewn onto the wear points. Hand repairs are fine but it looks much better if a machine is used.

Got matching coloured Duct tape on mine . . . lasts a season then comes off.
