Long time no speak eh? How are things?

We still have our Bordeaux 60 although probably selling next year due to our relocation to Jersey which won't suit our 3m draught at all. So, fancy something completely different and am struggling a little bit to find anything suitable.

I'm looking for a fast sports-fisher, centre console. Something like the Boston Whaler 320 Outrage with twin 300 outboards. The new price is just silly and I can't find any decent used examples in the UK. This type of boat is very popular in Florida but I cannot find anything similar over here unless going smaller to 25 feet. Ideally 32 to 37 feet would be perfect.

Any suggestions gratefully received :)

Ribs are popular around the Channel Islands but not many in the size you are looking at ;-(. Lots of bays and sandbanks to go ashore on !!

Do you need onboard accommodation or just guaranteed a to b for the many short hops that await you in jersey ??

Yep, I know there are many hazards to look out for. Quite scary when the tide goes out!

I'm really looking for a fast day boat that I can fish from. Must have a heads but no accommodation required. The Outrage 320 ticks all the boxes but at £205K plus options I can't imagine many are sold.

I have a rodman 1120 and 7 metre rib that I use for fishing and diving. Previously had a cheetah cat. I would recommend the Cheetah cat if you are serious about your fishing. Probably the 10 or 11 m with twin 300's. Cheetahmarine.co.uk. Also some deals to be had on marina berths in sub 12m but not much available over 12 metre.

Get in touch when you are here and I can sort a MBY fishing trip. RobG not invited as he caught biggest fish last time.

Boston whalers are VERY expensive but they do seem to be class leaders!

we looks at a White Shark some 285 some time ago which was a lot of boat for the money and looked really well put together. have also heard good things about Grady white's but think the UK dealer went pop some time ago so don't know where you would get one (or so support from)

have you thought about Sessa Key Largo?

Scorpion ribs have some great boats and will do a heads without problem but again, perhaps not what you are after?

i know you have had a Cougar in the past, what about this?? (although not exactly practical, would be an absolute hoot!)

I'm fairly sure you wouldn't be considering a sunseeker sports fisher!

Cranchi used to do something, though cant swear it was centre console. I only mention it remembering there used to be use in Dartmouth with triple outboards.I feel confident you aret going to mess around with only twins?

There's that monster rib for sale at Boatworks in SPP.
Quad outboards. Pretty much zero use, and on the market for a good few years.
Offer them peanuts and see if you get a bite.

(If I remember last time I caught sod all Karl)

Ha, we see you've sneaked back into Darthaven :). Been wondering where you'd got to. Boston Whalers are the bees knees but I haven't seen many of that size around, although there was one for sale down in Mylor a year or two back. Maybe worth a phone call.

Niiiice! Staggered Ilmors and Indy drives, what a package!
It's easy to guess that it doesn't have a 120mph speedo for nothing....

Re. Magnum request, the BW is way overrated, imho.
Both the Midnight Express 34 and the Statement 35 are in another league, for instance.
I'm afraid neither are easily available this side of the Pond, but they are well worth the trip....

Not afaik, in the size range we're talking about. Their closer model is the Panama 32.
Nice boat, and personally I'd rather haver her than a typical sportfisher, but not exactly what the OP is looking for.

Yep, sorry..was the sessa key largo 36.

Hi Mark, hope you're both well

We have similar thoughts for a boat to keep here (I started a thread on here recently), but a smaller single outboard version that we can trailer. One thing to think about, centre consoles have very little wind protection which is fine in Florida or the Med, but not so good in N Europe. We're looking for a walk around version instead which have wrap around windscreens.

We've found something suitable in Greece, and will have it shipped up here. They seem a bit more popular in Greece. Transport is same cost as shipping from US, but at least everything is CE cert, euro warranty, and VAT paid (appreciate vat not an issue in Jersey).

One last thing, I'm sure you realise that selling an unusual (for UK) boat with twin 300 outboards here will be very difficult, so need to be prepared to take a hit on resale, or ship somewhere else to sell it.

There is a Key Largo 36 with triple 350hp outboards in our marina which looks the real dogs bollox. 50knots apparently. Hi Magnum! Good to see you thinking about coming back from the dark side;)

We have loads of these in La Nap ( Sessa dealer) .The BW,s in 32 + 36 look like they are hewn out of a solid billet of GRP such is the Bulid quaility you can see the difference from 10 yards as you approach .thickness of the ss tubing etc
Like walking up to a Bently and Citroen parked next to each other.
Both seem to favour Yamaha Verado,s double/tripple .
One thing I,ll contribute is fuel ,not so much as the ££ - but the practicle of always having to fill up - either before your trip or at the end .This means having to balance tide/ lock gate/ sill times with -open fuel pontoon.
Something ( fuel pontoon ) you probably will not need to do will a diesel Peche promenade type .
Nick H,s I assume will be on a trailer so he can pull in to fill up on a journey .
Those type of boats are always hovering on the fuel pontoons in the SoF -I guess any thing less than 4000 rpm is dull and a big bore V8 or V6 ? will soon empty the tank
