Sports cruiser

Racingfrank7 and Itspaul My Cranchi Pelican 32 is up for sale in Empuriabrava Spain. I am in the UK at the moment but happy to arrange a viewing with my English engineer.
He is based there and has looked after my boat since new. PM me if you want to chat

Happy to delete this post if I am breaking any forum rules.
Nice boat and desirable engine package but unfortunately er indoors wants something with lots of sunbed area thanks for posting tho nice to see what's about

Thanks for all that, I guess if it was a substantal saving under budget then it would work, I would just have to seek advise about locking currency that was mentioned earlier.
Its things like fitting heating that I think will add up & eat into the overall budget quite quickly.

To give me a better idea, ( I know every deal is individule & it has been discussed on here time after time so there is no hard & fast rule but what could you guess-estimate at the price you can knock off a med boats advertised price ? )
I know nobody has a crystal ball but it might help me way things up a bit better!!!
Thanks for all the input.
I'm not sure there is any hard and fast rule we are going to leave it until late this year or early next unless something is too cheap to refuse ..... But I still think you could buy abroad and get transported back and save money the chap who bought our old boat in Majorca bought it back to the uk as he couldn't buy one in the uk cheaper .

I'm in exactly the same position having sold our boat we are looking at getting another and a sports cruiser is definitely what we want, we will keep it in Majorca like our old boat and we have a budget of 60-70 k and want to be around 10m as I have had a quote of £3800 pa for a berth in a nice marina,we to are very tempted by a zaffiro 34 and the targa 34 also there are a few Jeanneau prestige 34 ,s around in budget for a much newer boat but only a couple of those are diesel we are going to Southampton this weekend to have a look around

Sorry if this is stating the obvious, but be very careful you don't buy a boat that exceeds the permitted beam of your berth.

We went through the same selection some years ago, decided on quality, seakeeping and speed over anything else and have a Targa 34, absolutely love her!

She has KAD300s, we had a run down Southampton Water last night at 39 odd knots but at 24 knots she only sips the diesel, we are only looking to sell her to go bigger but whenever we are on board I seriously question if we should!

The max speed attained on your boat last week on the sea trail with 4 men on board was 33.4 knots after the hull wash, it was about the same before the wash which surprised me, this was at slack tide in flat conditions with very little wind.

:-) good observation, depth sounder is an in hull unit and struggles to hold a depth reading at that speed, none of my boats with in hull senders have held a depth reading at those sorts of speeds.

Then I would suggest changing your depth transducer to a transom mount one, as my Airmar P58 transducer records depth without any problems at 34 knots on my 20ft Finnmaster 61CA.

You should take a look at Windy 37 Hard Top Grand Mistral as well. I have had one for now two years. One on the best sports hulls ever build in the 35-40' range. Very fast and powerful, great handling and building quality is excellent. Norwegian build. Fitted with KAD44 or 300s will be a good choice. These boats may be a little more expensive to buy compared to competition but there is certainly less numbers up for sale so when you need or want to trade her in you do not always have to compete being the cheapest from a list of 50 similar models..... Just an idea :-)
