Am fitting a replacement masthead wind sensor and it needs to be B & G to be compatible with current instruments, running on Simnet.
From the mast head to where I need the cable end is 21m.
The supplied Simnet cable is 20m. The next size up is 35m.
Due to the cable run I can't use a Simnet yellow cable joiner as it's too wide to pull through.
Anyone know any reason why I shouldn't cut the cable and splice in a suitable extra length, soldering and heatshrinking the connections?
