On teletext tonight I see that the record attempt has been called off cos the bathing platform has cracked and the engine compartment has flooded.

I thought this ill fated voyage ended months ago with one of the crew being airlifted off with heart problems. Have they tried to resurrect the record attempt and if so what record were they going for? Or is this all old news that has been twisted by the media?

Nah just caught the news earlier today myself. Crack in the hull opened up and let in loads of sewage water flooding the boat and making loads of stuff unusable.

Talk about bad luck. Will be talking to Alan in 5 mins.
