Due to a moment of incompetence I have ripped the spinnaker. Rather badly. The tear is all down one side at the edge tape and across full width at about one third up. Now, I do have friends who have a drape making business and so have sewing machines, the space and the generous spirit to sew it for me.
Their machines do not do the zig zag stitching which the all the current stitching is, just straight stitch although they can do 'overlocking' (not sure what this looks like).
two questions: will not having zigzag stitching mean the repair will be unsuitable? and any suggestions for suppliers of suitable tape to reinforce the repair
Thanks
