Having recently had the misfortune of a spinnaker pole end failure resulting in some very skillfull Man Overboard Procedures (to rescue the pole I hasten to add), I am now seeking to replace either one or both ends. Does anybody have any reccomendations as to the type to use and also where they can be obtained from. I intend to refit the end/ends myself (looks like a relatively stright forward job) so any advice on this aspect also gladly received.

Thanks in advance

I'm afraid I don't know where to get spinnaker pole fittings in this country, but Westmarine in the states have a superb range of poles, end fittings, kits etc. It wouldn't be practical to get the poles sent over, but I'm sure the ends could be sent relatively cheaply. Good prices too! I've got a catalogue but you should be able to find all you want on their website - www.westmarine.com.
Good luck

Use Forespar fittings if you gybe end-for-end. Sparcraft if you dip pole.
