It’s a tiny bay and a lot of sea behind it. Why zoom around the bay and annoy anchored boats when you can use the space behind it?
I get the impression they prefer sheltered water, and close to the beach.
Some years ago I was being bothered by some water skiers going round and round and round the small group of anchored boats in a West Country anchorage. They were passing very close to my boat, the last in a line, each lap. I started assembling a series of fenders on a line that I was hoping to stream out towards the shore to keep them at distance from me, and perhaps even almost close the gap between me and the shore.
