The boat is due to be shipped in less than 4 weeks, so there is a LITTLE bit to be done yet - like the mast builder has so far failed to build the tube ..

The name is to be Wraith - now trying to get that spook image done on a spinnaker (cant afford it on all the kites!)..

Wraith it is then, good name and great image.

Be interested in how you get this done as I'd like a spinnaker with a Flamenco dancer (Amaya is named after Carmen Amaya, a famous Barcelona dancer). SWMBO has a stunning dance student with jet black hair who will pose for this 'with attitude' and I was going to posterise the photo to produce a dramatic image.

Just need to reproduce it on a kite, but wondering how much this would cost.

I dont know who is 'best' but Trudy Cook at <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.oceanart.co.uk>Oceanart</A> did my last spinnaker and a flag - work was good and on time. I'll be using her again if time allows, but it is not necessarily cheap - the logo'd kite cost a lot of money - but it came out of the advertising budget.

The Wraith should be less expensive ..

At least after a string of boats with long names (Quicksilver IV, Watonia Jane, Victoria Plum), saying it phonetically wont be too big an issue!

Surely not! Where's all that lovely varnish work? Or indeed in modern times the awkward reverse sheer?

At least we don't have to try and set a spinnaker INSIDE the forestay ( I know they dont do it nowadays - but what a silly idea that was!)

Quicksilver IV is a Trintella 51. Her previous owner has just recently commisioned her successor QuicksilverV - she is another Dutch boat - might be a Nordia (Iknow he was considering that, but a step down in sailing preformance), but I think he was headed to about 77 feet as a target length at that stage - she would have been launched last autumn - so she could be on the market already - but only if he was very disappointed!
