....will you please stop making this forum even more boring for the rest of us?
I'm getting bored with having so many boring threads and posts to sort through to find the odd gem that might lift my spirits while I try not to be bored.....
Can't you all have a little more consideration?

Before responding to the more general points you have made, I think we should give some consideration to what you mean by "boredom". Do you mean a vague sense of ennui or full-on, head banging boredom, verging on suicide? I think you will find that the British Psychological Society categorises degres of boredom and that discussion of the handling and seakeeping characteristics of different types of hull produces a fairly high score on the scale, whilst discussions about jet drives typically rate rather lower.

I don't see what your personal feelings have to do with the perfectly reasonable debate about boredom that I have instigated on these boards. All I want to do is to have a discussion about degrees of boredom, and the exponential rate at which Boating Forum posters lose the will to live. It is a pity that you cannot make a positive contribution to this very useful subject.

Ah, but what do you mean by consideration? In the legal sense, this would imply an exchange of funds to confirm the execution of a contract, whereas, from a metaphysical point of view, it implies that you would like us to show a little more concern for the wellbeing and feelings of our fellow posters - the kind of concern that might, for example, lead to my wanting to examine a subject from every possible angle and shred it to pieces in the interests of greater clarity for all. I believe there is some research available on this subject.

But anyway, I think you're just trolling............

Can the mods not merge some of the seakeeping/hull design/willywaving threads into one? They all seem to have degenerated into the same discussion anyway and it would mean that other threads (some of which seem to be boating-related too) wouldn't drop off the bottom of my page so soon...
