Hi all,

I know this isn't strictly 'yachting' but has anyone seen the difficulties Rudyard Sailability are having to get a boathouse, so their members can get decent facilities?

The plans for the accessible building have passed planning, but the local lake management company seem to be twarting attempts to get a lease.

Take a look here - http://www.rudyardsailability.org.uk/protestform.php - it gives you the option of registering your support, if you see fit and agree with the charity - the rest of the site explains a bit about the issues.

Cheers

Ah, but it is boaty - yachting is not all we do round here.

Nice site, well presented, deserves further investigation to sort out some alleged shenanigans.

Gosh, I learnt to sail at Lake Rudyard in the 60's.

Heron's and Enterprises and Cadets.

Also remember finding a railway exploding signal, and speding hours up a tree dropping rocks on it, with several chums. It exploded in the end...

Also the pub eventually chucked us out...

Those were the days.

Definitely a signee...

Many thanks.

Rudyard is as interesting as ever. Do try and come back and visit Sailability. They are most welcoming. It will be an eye-opener.

Thanks for signing!
