Sailed down from the Gironde to Laredo during Saturday and Sunday. Received a, most friendly, visit from Spanish Customs this morning.:
Although they looked at my Passport, this was purely to take the number and verify my likeness. No turning of pages to check for my Schengen arrival stamp (which was in Cherbourg). Mainly interested in anything with a number on related to Stargazer (insurance, SSR, vhf licence etc).
And……. if you’re down this way, and enjoy a mix of misty mountains
and an unspoilt old town clinging onto clefts in towering cliffs
- Laredo is well worth a visit.
