Just arrived in Roses Spain diesel is €1.163 ltr
Next stop will be France. Should I fuel up here or wait until France?
Anyone got any idea of Marina prices in France.

Sorry posted it twice and can't see how to delete one of them

It used to be significantly cheaper in Spain. However, now there is not a lot in it.
Current price on the Port Leucate website for diesel is 1.18 (price correct for 1st October).

Same is true when filling the car up at the supermarket. It will be a little bit cheaper than in the marina, and the price in a Spanish supermarket is almost exactly the same as that in a French one.

How many litres are you talking about and, at a few cents per litre difference, will the overall difference be material in the light of general boating costs?

As for prices in general in France :

I don't know if you are heading for Sardinia next year. Following might be of interest for 2017 if you are heading there.

It was around 1.53 on West coast and about 1.63 on NE coast this summer. Around 1.28 in Corsica (Bonifacio and Porto Vecchio) so worth topping up before arriving in Sardinia.

Neither - Tunisia is easily the cheapest. When I was last there it was €0.27/litre.

Personally, having a sailboat, I don't tax myself with the search for cheap diesel - but when your power-boat uses 14 litres/hr @ most economical cruise speed of 8 knots, I can see the purpose...
