And the cheap side is actually a lot more convenient for the town, shops, pretty much everything except the caves.

Hi Bill
We started to working our way around the Med this year and I can tell you it not cheap and less then friendly , we incounted all sort of problem most won’t even let you leave a dinky there while you go to the shop , I have found a lot of the staff rude and at one marina we had a chain cut just for the sake of it , it was moved 3 foot to one side just to prove a point that they don’t want you there .
Torrievieja are more than unfriendly and rude it anyone anchor in the harbour they get the police to move you and insisted you go into the marina or leave
One couple we met had their dinky chained by the marina staff and then they wanted 60 Euro to release it , berthing fees are for a 12 mts yacht are around 40 to 65 Euro but 80 and 90 are heard off , the best and most friendly one we found is Almerimar who are happy to welcome you to their marina and go out of there way to help , unlike most of the others

Spanish marinas

Hi , The newest marina in Torrevieja , Marina del Salinas is very cheap for long term . They have quoted me about € 1800 all in for 8 m and € 2200 for 10 m. Best to ask the local brokers to help you as they seem to get special rates.
Re anchoring in Torrevieja , there is now very little space left to anchor in.
We were also in Estepona but found it getting very expensive and unwilling to discuss the price.
Regards, Eddie
