Sowester bits

The stanchion bases and stanchions on my Moody are stamped 'Sowester'. Sowester (if memory serves) are now defunct. Does anyone know if any other company is supplying parts to the same mould / spec / design?

Some Souwester deck fittings are now being produced by lewmar.

I had exactly the same problem recently and a mate of mine found me a cast aluminium stanchion base that was a pretty much identical copy of my broken Sowester one recently.

It's made by a company called "Wetline" 01929 551138 www.burdengroup.com

The marine division is Mark Dowland Marine and the Burden Group is part of the Unipart Group.

Mark Dowland Marine's current catalogue is similar in size and range to the old Sowester catalogue. I believe Wetline are their own branded products.
