Sovereign Eastbourne

Hi Budgieboy, yes we love Brighton too. This topic has become a thing because one of our kids is starting at Brighton Uni in September so we thought it might be a grand idea to keep the boat down there at least for a year or so.

Was put off Brighton a bit when we went and had a look, seemed a long way from town, a bit of a concrete jungle with some very chavvy cafes and a labyrinthine multistorey car park.

If you're in there and recommending it I'll certainly take another look. I'm going to take a look at Eastbourne next week, never been there so the proximity of town might well be a problem there too.

Quite like the Premier Marinas offer of visitor nights. Makes a S Coast cruise using Premier locations an interesting idea.

The multistorey at Brighton is indeed hideous. But as a berth holder completely free. There is another single level car park past the East jetty which is also completely free and has security barriers. That's where I park. There always seems to be space.

Doesn't take long to walk into Brighton centre or get the Volks (in summer) Victorian train along the seafront which is very pleasant.

The multistorey isn't nice, and is quite confusing as the higher floors are laid out in two separate sections. Anyone visiting shouldn't be tempted to park on the higher open-air floors, thinking it'll be quieter and safer for the car. It won't, the car will get covered in tons of seagull poo!
