Southwold tomorrow

Well it was lovely, I got a bit sunburnt, didn't see any obvious forumites (how would I know?) but there again I failed on the pink carnation :) Plenty of empty stages and the seas seemed empty... presumably some boats not back in the water yet.

The ECF members will be the ones with only one thumb on each hand, unless of course they were born locally.

I think there are a few stages that never get used, 90% are in private ownership so I guess some owners sell their boat and keep the stage; they've been filling up quite quickly over the last few weeks.

The weather was perfect today, we've been building our causeway and got it finished today at last - that's the previous four weekends solid. Just in time for a week's holiday.

Southwold is a great place for a visit by boat, there are some new visitors pontoons but most people are allocated a vacant stage by the harbourmasters, which gives you a very peaceful spot.

Not sure what time you were there.
I was a bit late so didn't get there till 12:00
Orcana was out sailing,
Spirit was sorting out gear,
I was in the shed sewing up my dodgers and then was on Somersault fitting them.
There were two ECF flags flying close to HMS.

Only around five boats that are usually on the water are still on the hard.
There's a couple that have gone for the year to the med and the Baltic.
We have also had a few boats sold this year and have gone off to new waters, people retiring from sailing etc.
