Thank you very much for the info. We are staying at the Grand Harbour Hotel near to the show, would be easier to get a taxi on the Saturday to the used show? Any idea on the cost of a taxi from the airport to this hotel?

Sorry, I can't help with taxi prices, as I never use them! A taxi to the Used boat show would be more convenient but, I guess, more expensive than the train.

Another alternative is to catch either the X4 or X5 bus from Southampton to Swanwick Marina, which is where the main Used boat show is held.

Checker Cars operate from the airport but.....beware.
Since getting the contract they have hiked their prices.
What used to be a £20 trip is now nearer £30.
Try booking a local cab to collect you and ask for a fixed rate. I'd think £10-£15 tops for your journey.
