Saxon for lift, Ocean village to wait for the ship...
I was at Saxon this weekend and again has fantastic service from the yard team there. really happy to have a boat looked after by them.. I can say this now as i actually have no connection to MDL anymore and am just a happy customer.
Ocean village is generally used by the shipping companies as its close to the docks and easy to run boats around in lift order.
If it were me, i would stay in Southampton and move the boat down to Poole just before shipment. Poole is an interesting choice from a shipping perspective and we use the port fairly regularly for our cargoes as it offers minimal deviation for vessels going through the channel and the port charges are low in comparison to Southampton. The down side is the draft restrictions on berths are pretty low (6 meters if i recall) so you are restricted on the size of vessel you can put in. we also have to work around the ferry schedules as the adjacent berths need to be clear for us to operate.
