Anyone know what happens? My great circle route to the cape takes me below 70 degrees. Do we fall off the edge or just have to go without wind forecasts?

You're not supposed to go there (THERE BE Pirates (and piratesses) and icebergs)

Mind you, Brain et al are lobbying to get SOL to add a bit to the bottom - which is a [--word removed--] if you've planned your route from the beginning assuming it was off limits.....

Just got an e-mail from SOL gods today

"Dear skipper extraordinaire,

There has been some issues raised regarding the 70 degree south weather limit in leg 5 of the Sailonline Ocean Race. The simple answer is that it will not be possible to sail below 70 degrees south. We have no intentions to change this fact."

Are they reading YBW forums????
