Don't forget to visit the Grevelingenmeer along your route from Stellendam to Vlissingen. Plenty of UK boats last weekend, always a joy to see them here.....

Nope but hoping to be there the last week of july till the second week of August(start of the school hols uk).This will be our 3rd year, its great for the children.

Hi, we are picking up our first boat in Bruinisse early July & plan on spending several weeks in the area. Grateful for any local info, places to see etc. TIA

Hope you will enjoy the newly purchased HR.... no doubt it won't be any problem! The Grevelingenmeer is a nice lake (salt water) for a trial period. Make sure you buy a chart at Visser Watersportwinkel (chandler) due to many shallow streches. Nice places to go on the lake are Brouwershaven, Scharredijke and Herkingen. Nice anchorages as well, but make sure you either buy a 7 dagen-kaart (7 days chart) or better, if possible (normally only possible if you are member of one of the marina's) an anual member ship (special flag for about 11 pounds). The lock at Bruinisse will give you access to the Oosterschelde, another lovely area.

One of the main HR dealerships is actually in Bruinisse, so that's comforting.
