I think I need some new batteries. I have two caravan shop batts, 110Ah, they have lasted about 7 years and cost about £50 each. The caravan shop is no longer there - anyone know of good mail order sources for such things if I can't find locally, please?

I used a certain tyre shop not too far away from you a year or two back (down the hill and turn left!), but next time will try Sailorman's link instead as the prices were similar, but the website has a better choice.

Thanks sailorman an' all, very helpful. And yes I hadn't thought of that tyre emporium down the hill.
I presume if I go to the megastore I should look in the 'caravan' section rather than 'boats'? (No I don't have a boat that looks like a caravan before someone asks!!)

another vote for Battery Megastore on the web. Next day delivery, good price, and what seems to be a very good battery which was only manufactured a week before I received it. IMHO the problem with some other sources is that the batteries sit around on the shelf for a long time half charged and it doesn't seem to do them any good.

Got mine from Eurocarparts
If there's one near you, order online then go collect.
£71.95 for Lion 110ah leisure battery
Use code service25 at checkout for the 25% discount.
Dont go direct to the store expecting to get the same price like I did! I had to go back home, order online to collect at the store!
Strange but true.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Searched 'em all and locally, ended up with Battery Megastore who were doing 125Ah batts in the same size format as 110's. Found they sell a few quid cheaper on Ebay too. Alpha Batteries do have a heck of a good choice too, though.

Hi,
As you boat on the medway you wont go fat long at the battery shop in High de ware road off the old a2 in rainham they are very helpful and have good prices.
Regards
Rob

Found several places doing 110Ah batts for about that price, in fact nearest motor factors in Herne Bay offered a pair for £140. But I have ordered 2 x 125Ah batts from Megastore, online through their Ebay shop, for £85 each, free next day delivery, and a 4-year warranty which nobody local would offer - best was 2 years. And I will have an extra 30Ah on board.

I was looking at the Alpha batteries, 4 yr warranty sounds very good
