Planning to blitz the boat over the Easter weekend ready for launch the weekend after.
Boat is in Langstone and we are located near Epsom in Surrey.
Journey is just over an hour each way, appx 60 miles either direction.
So for the 4 days I'd be wasting 8 hrs in just travelling, clocking up some 500 miles on the car.
Not feasible for the two of us to spend the nights onboard as its interior work we need to do and the insides of the boat are trashed at the moment.

Can anyone suggest somewhere to stay within say a 10 mile distance from Langstone for about £30-50 per night?
Ideal solution would be a self catering chalet or caravan, but a reasonable B&B would be great.
Or if anyone on the forum has a caravan/chalet/holiday home they would be willing to hire for the Good Friday until Easter Monday, let me know.
Just the 2 of us, non smokers, 40 somethings, who will be knackered after a days work on the boat and just wanting to get some food in the evening and crash in front of a TV before going to bed!!

Let me know.

We once spent a night in Portsmouth just up the road from the museum. I'm not sure of the name, something like the Naval Institute, which also doubles as a hotel. Basic, but rather entertaining and a substantial breakfast.

Thanks for suggestions so far, but luckily Mrs W has come up trumps!
3 nights at the Portsmouth Park Hotel on the Eastern Rd, about 2 mins from the boat for £130 inc breakfast! thought that seemed great value?

That's a decent deal. Just make sure you have deep pockets if you want to get a drink at the bar, it's very expensive, or at least it was whe nit was a Hilton. You could always call in at Sainsburys up the road for whatever your poison is.

And when it was the Hilton they charged you for car parking as well ! Also nowhere nearby handy to eat or drink without driving except the hotel itself, which was expensive - though the room rates were often fairly good.
