I'm currently in A Coruna and want to fit a new split ring anode to my prop. The previous one has disappeared, it was only 3 months old, I dont know what i could have done wrong when fitting it.
Anyway, I have a replacement and the boat is a twin keeler, back on the east coast I would know places where I could dry out. Does anyone have any local knowledge that could help me? I'm heading south so anywhere in Portugal would also be good.

Bit out of touch but I know the authorities frown on yachts beaching to clean off the bottom and everybody goes to a harbour travel lift. There is in Bouzas within the port of Vigo a club náutico that has a big ramp, concrete but it’s still water. It’s a very helpful place and wouldn’t costtoomuch even if they lifted you.You enter the fish dock with Davila marina on your right turn to starboard and steam tothe end you will see a small marina…..Davila is expensive,soI am told.

Just "round the corner" to the NE from Coruna is ria de Sada, the marina has a travel lift. There are also two beaches and a long stretch with gently sloping bottom at the end of the ria, maybe ask if you could dry for one tide ?
If it's just the anode, you might also ask a scuba diver to fit it :)

There's a drying bank, Banco de la Misela, which is firm sand at the head of Ria Muros near the entrance to Noia. Very sheltered and can be recce'd from the adjacent deep water anchorage.
I also dried my Ovni on the bank at Sao Jacinto at the entrance to Aveiro. It's in a bay protected by a breakwater from the main river.
