I just need to check out one more which has been suggested - The Crispin which is close to M3 and M4 near Windsor/ Ascot. Anybody able to recommend it?

Reading the thread I believe everyone is waiting for someone to name a wednesday date and the Pub in/adjacent to Windsor then others will say whether they can make it. Who will name the day/pub.
I don't want to step on anyones toes but I have been to a couple of evening work gatherings in a pub opposite the Green in Windsor (through the alcoholic haze cannot remember name) but the managers/owners partner works for my company so I can ask if they will throw in some nibbles FOC if say x number turned up. From memory the pub does normal evening meals etc.
After Xmas it's quiet so I would think pity and a warm welcome would be extended to a party of landlocked sailors whatever the venue chosen.
