Ha yes, albeit a lot faster!! They don't seem to drop their speed until well into the channel!

I'm shocked by that as they are VERY keen on speed in Florida. I remember taking a Jetski out in Clearwater on the gulf coast and the coast guard were waiting for speeders in the buoyed entrance.
