SOLTRON/STARTRON lost licience

[ QUOTE ]
Only one I feel sorry for is Dom, 'cos either he's been duped, created a market or being shafted, don't know which but bloody bad news for sure

[/ QUOTE ]
I feel sorry for him because he's being shot at, directly or indirectly, all the time.
He buy's a substance from a company called Solpower in Japan and markets it as Soltron. He claim's it's enzyme based and that it sorts out the symptoms caused by diesel bug by breaking down the by products of their digestion which cause the problems. No one seems to claim it doesn't do that, he doesn't claim it does anything else, and who cares what it's called or who invented it. If Starbrite produces a product claiming to do the same thing then I wil look at it on the normal considerations as usual. If a noted lab was to compare the products that would help a lot (but not products acting in different ways ie Fuelset)
If this seems barbed it is not aimed at you Paul.

I had your number ages ago, I must have been through 3 phones since then.

[/ QUOTE ] I only gave you my phone number on 19/1/05! since then you've been through 3 phones!! Wonder how your business associates keep in touch with you.

I keep all their busines cards as I am doing business with them and in regular contact. I dont keep all the numbers of people who phone occasionally and you arent a business associate of mine so why would I keep it.

[ QUOTE ]
Its your persistance that leads me to suspicion.

[/ QUOTE ] My persistence consists of 4 PM because you never responded to the first three!

The first three said your pm box was full, otherwise I would not have posted on the forum that it was full.

[ QUOTE ]
Derf if you dont think it works or dont want to use it then fine I am not forcing you to do so. If you feel that star tron is much better then buy it, lifes is about choices so make one.

[/ QUOTE ] This is the standard lame response you give. I didn't enquire if it worked, nor did I say I didn't want to use it..quite the contrary! I wanted to use it and support you. I enquired about the scientific data that YOU posted saying others on the forum had seen it, either face to face or by email.

Yes and I told you the reason why they had seen it, because they had cause to and I had been in regular contact with them and they are now business associates as we have struck up a business relationship. I do not know you have never met you and do not know who you work for or what you do. I have no association with you what so ever.

[ QUOTE ]
This is turning into another boring thread persisting on about something that is not public inforamtion otherwise it would be on our web site.

[/ QUOTE ] Another of your lame responses. You told me you had responded three times to my request then given up. Then your story changed to " you could be an agent" so I can't send it..

Again you are nobody I know, what assurances of TRUST can you give me..NONE.

Perhpas if you didn't change your story quite so frequently and just replied to my original PM this wouldn't have turned to a boring thread!

Perhaps if you kept your PM box clear then I could have!

What's peculiar Dom, is that you think everyone who asks you about Soltron is out to get you or catch you out. You are the distributor of this product if you don't want to field questions about it, stop pedalling it and do something else. and as to your advice... I will make a choice.... not to use your product.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ok your choice I never forced you to use it, you bought it for a reason.

As with most distributors they do not normally know the ins and outs of every product, I however, have been fortunate to be involved with a lot of information and involvment with Soltron. If you ask Marathon in depth questions about a product they distribute they will pass you on to the main company.

You seem to be very stressed about getting this information. do you walk into a petrol station and ask for a chemical breakdown of your fuel because you have bought it, I mean the station in question is distributing it arent they.

Did you ask Bill Gates to see the source code for windows because you were using it.....cmon this is getting silly. Do you ask Heinz for their formula because safeway do their own brand which they claim is as good as Heinz.

It is getting silly and Kim has already mentioned his displeasure about this. See our R&D section of the www.soltron.co.uk website for info on the people who have done testing on our behalf. they are well respected facilities.

Re: Girls! Please!

Laurence, try looking here: we did this one to death a while ago - there are reasons why Dom has to be somewhat circumspect.

Dom, relax. Laurence is OK, and not a spy. Though I have to confess he drove me mad by cooking bacon for breakfast outside the Folly last year, when all I had on board was bloody cereals...

Re: Girls! Please!

Part of the frustration is that Depsol keeps mentioning "scientific info", but there is no detail to back it up, apart from links to organisations that supposedly know. Typically, science is put into the public domain for peer review, not hidden, for the very reason that opening to scrutiny gives credibility.

If I try to get money out of you on the basis that I've invented a perpetual motion machine, but refuse to tell you how it works, apart from mentioning others that have tried it, you are bound to be suspicious.

Claiming that your science is commercially sensitive is "security by obscurity", (unless it's really obscure), because if it's good science, then there's a good chance that someone else will have found it too.

Most companies are proud of their technology. Hitachi Global Storage and their new "perpendicular recording" hard drives, GMR heads, etc. They tell you in white papers how it works, but you won't be able to set up that factory in your back yard on the basis of the white paper... Similarly with a diesel additive, I'm not interested in the exact formulation, but I would quite like to know roughly how it works and some of the basic principles before I put it inside my £12,000 engine.

Depsol

Sorry old pal, hate to see one so abused, I was trolling thro as you do and came across that statement.

Have never tried soltron not through any negs just not seen it around even at RNSYC

Will give it a go if found, I use any additive handy better than nothing.

I've retailed UK supplied Soltron for some time and supplied considerable numbers of barge owners whose tanks have suffered years of neglect with considerable black alsphatene's and bio bugs. In all cases it has cleared the problem very quickly and without leaving an even worse biomass residue that blocks the filters. Several fuel treatments are biocides that kill the bugs beautifully. The resulting corpses still block the filters!!
