Solent Oyster Restoration Project

Just come across the Solent Oyster Restoration Project and cannot find any mention on the ybw forum. It was mention on BBC Breakfast in 2016, but I had not heard of it.

They are aiming to introduce 5 million oysters over 5 years, which should mean tge project should be just about finished.

Anyone have any further information?

I believe this might have been mentioned on radio Solent -being run by university of Portsmouth in Langstone harbour ?

A worthy cause I'm sure as oysters are natural ocean cleaners, although eating the Solent ones might not be advisable!

As for their Media Statement, Oh dear - the Solent is most certainly not "the world's most degraded marine ecosystem" (presumably they are referring to the oysters) and "09%" for what should read 90% is a seriously sloppy way to promote a good project:

And I thought from the heading that this would be about keels that fall off!
