I have been looking at replacing my Admiralty chart packs by ordering enough print-on-demand Admiralty Leisure charts to get the maximum (75%) discount. By only replacing the charts I will use, and not the stupidly large scale duplicates and ones of shallow creeks I will never enter, the cost becomes reasonable.

As Imray draw to a close, I wasn't sure if I should refresh my Solent pack before they are gone forever. My well thumbed set is dated 2022, the latest 2024 with a 30% RYA discount bringing them down to £42 plus P&P.

Will Imray bring out another release before stopping as the current 2024 set has a Feb 2025 correction notice so I guess the cycle would be 2026, after their stop date?

I use the paper charts regularly when planning a day out.

Can't tell if you're joking. They are still available, as demonstrated by the stock I linked to. The Admiralty have not announced that they have ceased production. Stock is low on many items right now, a perception that it might not be replenished only serves to make that worse. As I said, they released new editions of many of the folios in October to ensure there were up to date versions for this season.

If you want one then buy one!

Yes I posted that three years ago so the situation has changed. The folio charts are now print on demand.

Yes, that link also says "discontinued".

You will find if you do search that "folios" being supplied now are done by putting together a complete set of print on demand charts at the 75% discount. They will also come without the A2 cover/comments sheets or a plastic wallet. As I said previously, you can now save by choosing only the charts you actually use, and by ordering at least 15 get the 75% discount.

Does this mean that a wee chart for a harbour or the Eddystone now comes printed on a sheet of A2?

If you are intending to sail between the Essex and Suffolk Creeks and the Low Countries then you are in luck as a new edition of C30 is promised.
