But semi flexible is only really 'a bit flexible' more 'you can bend it a little bit' but not really that bendy. The corners on the panels I have are prone to delaminating if they get bashed and the connectors look quite fragile so with this in mind I bolted mine down and gave the connectors some strain relief because I knew that I would just wreck them in no time if I tried to use them as roving panels...

Not as low cost as the panels being discussed here, but I just bought a 60W 'flexible' panel from http://www.cleversolar.co.uk/shop/solar-panels/flexible-solar-panels.html

Very helpful with questions and panels arrived next day. Also, I did ask Penny a question on her panels which was answered promptly. I went to Clever Solar as I wanted something a bit more flexible, and also the backing is plastic (Fibreglass?) not metal which should help prevent scratches as it is used as a roaming panel.

They do 'bend' to 30 degrees, but no blocking diodes so just put a schottky diode on the +ve line. They claim that these panels have a 'very high' resistance so no blocking diodes needed.... but nothing like belt and braces.

Like the BruceDanforth, I also wanted something that could 'roam' and with shockcord go on the coachroof, sprayhood or guardwires. The ones I bought came with 2.5m of cable. They seem to be assembled in Germany, but I can look more closely at the label when I am next down on the boat if anyone is interested.
