Reading F. of G.'s reply, it reminded me to post this request.
I was told that we would benefit from having a solar powered vent fitted to our Bavaria 42 to be operative during her winter layup in Nidri Lefkas. Any further advice would be appreciated.
Cheers Frank.

We have a solar powered UFO type above the heads. After 2 years I am still trying to convince myself it makes any difference whatsoever.

I was sitting here at just before 3am this morning thinking it was time I went to bed. A few minutes later, I looked at the computer clock and it was 0205. Still early, so i was good for another hour.

Thanks Dogwatch, I think you may have saved us some euros. Maybe our guardienne (I think thats how you spell it) needed a nice little earner during the winter, seeing as how he suggested it.

Sorry to give the other point of view - I find them useful.

Always makes decisions harder when people don't agree!

I can't honestly agree with myself or not, even on a sunny day, if I put my hand under the fan it is about as strong as a mouse with asthma blowing on it.. But, is this tiny amount of air making any difference to the heads? I just don't know. The only real way to find out would be to remove it and see if I notice.

The one thing that is certain, if and when it breaks, I will not be replacing it like for like.
