Mono should give you better output, poly is said to cope with shade better; you pays yer money...

If you have somewhere to mount them then Mono on top of goal posts that can tilt will be excellent. If not then poly and mount them anywhere and everywhere you can.

Personally I have mono. 10 years on they still sit there and work hard out of the way above the davits.

Hi, yes I had goalposts on my last boat and had mono tilting ones . . . on my new boat there's neither frame not solar panels, so starting from scratch. Thanks for the advice guys

I fear it's not that simple. Yes you pays yer money for a better product, so it's more down to the manufacturer than than the type of materials used.
