Solar panel without charge controller?

Not like me disagree with Paul however the voltage he is measuring must be battery voltage which is also panel voltage as he is connecting panel direct to the battery.

Thanks what i meant William, probably wasn't clear.I meant he's just seeing panel output/battery voltage rather than a float voltage. as there can't be a float voltage without a controller.

It was the battery voltage with the panel connected. So very much an ‘overcharging voltage.’

Luckily when I fitted my Victron 75/15 MPPT controller @PaulRainbow was on hand to suggest the correct parameters for my particular set up.
