I'm remaking the solar system on the boat this winter. I've looked at hundreds of suppliers on the internet but never sure how good they are. Can anyone recommend any companies they've had good experiences with? I suppose it would be good to hear people who've had bad experiences too, maybe by PM, if it's easier? I'm after some specific physical sizes, so a good range of panels would be good.

LG Solar PV Panels | Wind & Sun

I got mine from these guys a few years ago. Delivery was quick and packaging was first class...

They are victron panels and there was a fault in them but the suppliers were very easy to deal with (I fixed the fault, but they were very engaging in terms of reassuring me that the panels were not damaged or under performing )

They don't seem to have victron panels on their site now.

Photonic Universe are excellent with good service if you speak with them. Good selection of solar-panels of both semiflexible and solid type plus all the controllers available.
+1 for photonic universe. Endless patience with months of questions and then when o/s of an ordered item, upgraded the unit at no cost.

Much depends on the size you want. If you can cope with say 180cms by 100cms the panels used for domestic PV systems are good and very cheap typically giving 250w or so at 40 volts. They are cheap because domestic installations use 12 and upwards panels for one house. (our club has 200 panels on roof) Look for a supplier of domestic PV. You would be obliged to use a MPPT controller to charge 12v battery. Not a real disadvantage.
If at the other extreme you want panels around 30x40 cms then look on ebay for panels from China. The resin mounted panels I think are quite good and cheap. ol'will

Solbian in Italy. Sunworld or Miasolé from the US for flexible. For solid, almost any big brand. Hard to go wrong.

Many thanks for all the replies. I'll be looking at all the companies mentioned. To add some more information, we have a fixed 50w semi flexible panel which I'm now going to either repair or replace and wire into the Marlec hrdi controller which is connected to the windgen. I then want rigid panels to put on deck or on rails when required. In the past we've used two 50w semi flexible panels for this. I'd like to have 160-200w and, if possible, store them in a space that measures approximately 1200X500mm. These panels will connect to the Victron 75/15 which we already have. In the past I've used MC3 and MC4 plugs both types proving unreliable. This time I'm planning to rewire the panels and use Bulgin plugs. As we have a Victron display, I plan to test for the best wiring method, series or parallel, when they're all fitted.
