Another vote for Alpicool. I have the 25l version with extra small ice cube section. Around £150 from Amazon.

Its a difficult one ... well it was for me.

Small and compact .. only necessary items and maybe an Ice tray ...

or

Larger - more space to stow - in my case choose ice or cold use ...

I suppose ideally if you have the space to have two .... large one as fridge ... small one as freezer.

That's not such a daft idea actually ... you can get the 'beer can' fridge / freezer ...... take out a shelf in one cupboard ? Or as in my boat - put to good use one of the empty bilges under a seat ...

Before anyone says - build an ice box ... I considered that - but its an old 1970's boat and really would need complete lining and then best to drop in a portable 'beer can' unit.

Which ever one you chose ensure it has a much insulation as possible as this will reduce the compressor duty cycle thus reducing the electricity consumption

My built in fridge would run 24/7 in summer until I increased the thickness of the insulation that reduced the duty cycle from 100% to about 60 % in summer

We can import stuff from USA very cheap as 'yacht in transit'

Trouble is to get stuff from USA to UK / EU - you often find dealer does not have such option - then you have to go to an export agent or friend in USA.

Its a different ball game for you in Carib'

But point is : OP is UK based judging by his first post.
