My Soviet speedboat has a 10A/hr SLA with a 10W solar panel direct connected.
Powers : LED spotlight, LED dual Navlight, automatic bilge pump and a socket to power GPS or other item.
I did think to have higher capacity system ... but this has proven itself ....
You can see the panel next to the outboard tiller handle .... its velcro'd to the deck.
